Fun Times in the Cities

A couple of weeks ago I had the chance to go to a MN Lynx game(and for those of you who don't know thats the MN WNBA team). I won these tickets at the state fair and my older brother offered to go to the game with me. The game was a blast and I was super surprised at how many people don't go to those games. Common' people womens basketball is totally getting gypped. Anyways I'm not really gonna talk about the game just the fun times after. So after the lynx game my brother and I started heading home. But neither of us new how to get out of the cities we were completely lost. After about 10 min. of random driving around with crazy people from the cities we decided to plug our home address into our navigation system. That didn't really seem to work though. We were both like sweet now we can just find the road and get home... OR NOT. The navigation system had us literally driving around on random streets, and we were both pretty sure we were going in circles (some what). It was Pretty Hilarious we started out in Minneapolis, then went to Eagon, then St. Paul, then Bloomington, then to a bunch more random towns. It was insane. This is crazy all we were tring to do was find an on ramp to I-35. We saw the road about a million times but there was no way to get on it. Really we got really sick of it after about an hour. My brother was swearing up the wall at our car and was about to smash it into a brick wall. This wasn't even fair because it was a school night. We were both beat and after about an hour and a half- not even exaggerating we finally found an on-ramp to head home. We were both so beat when we finally got home at about 12:30. It was fun while it lasted, but fun times just don't last forever:)

About Two Blondes

This last Tuesday my friend and I stayed after school for our Volleyball match. You may not think of either of us crazy people, but if you get to know us, oh you will be surprised! Anyways on with my story, we were sitting at a table in the lunchroom doing our homework, and we got bored so we searched for something to go do. I mentioned I saw a Volleyball cart out so we could go mess around with a Volleyball. Well when we got there, there was nothing so we started looking for on e behind all of the bleachers. YAY! we found one. We were just bumping it back and forth, and we decided to call our other friends down to come play with us. My friend called them and right when she got off the phone i tossed her the ball and she bumped it REALLY high... and it got stuck above the court in this net thing. We were so mad, so we started looking for another ball or something we could throw to knock down the volleyball. All we found was a flat tennis ball. Yeah right, haha. So we tried to use that. Just picture these two girls tring to aim and knock down a Volleyball with a tennis ball. We totally hit the volleyball and it rolled to the edge but couldn't get over the metal rod. Eventually I got the tennis ball stuck up there.Oh great we were thinking! What are we supposed to do now. Well my friend was very hyped up at the time, so she goes over and grabs a propel bottle, with about 1/4 a bottle let to drink. Out of no where she started chucking that at the ball making sure to catch it every time. Um.. Well every time but once. The one time she dropped it the bottle burst open, and there was propel all over the court. We both booked it to the locker room for paper towels. Luckily we got it all cleaned up before anyone noticed. Since the ball was stuck we just decided to play imaginary Volleyball, oh was that ever interesting, haha:) Not long after all that excitement some upper-class man walked in and started playing the warm up C.D. and we all started dancing crazy all over the gym!

Memories

So on April 20, 2006 my grandma died from cancer. It was the worst day of my life. I just remember the moment my mom told me, I will just sit there and replay it in my mind. I was in the bathroom getting ready for school, and my mom walked in and told me the news. I just sat there. I went to school that day as well because I didn't know what else to do. That morning I had to go to school early because i had jazz band too. During school i remember I didn't tell anyone and i was just depressed all day long, and some of my teachers knew so they would mention it and I would just burst out in tears. She was amazing. She taught piano every day after school, and of course she was my piano teacher as well. It seems like ever since she passed away I never seem to play the piano anymore even though i have played for more like 10ish years. Family holidays are never the same either, and it doesn't help that my grandpa got remarried like a year later because he was so alone. Nothing seems to be the same when i go and visit. Church is never the same either because every single week she would play the organ and now my mom does, its just not the same. I will just think about all the things she it going to miss out on , not just my stuff but she has 10 grandchildren and the things they will all do as well. Like graduation and Weddings and just small simple things like watching us play sports or going to concerts of ours. This whole thing probably sounds super cheesy, but my grandma was practically my mom. I just need to express my emotions somehow so this is what I thought I could do.

I Hate Stupid People

So this week at school it's HOMECOMING!!! This is like one of the best weeks of the whole year. :) All the different dress up days like:
Monday-Dress your best day
Tuesday-Nerd day
Wednesday-College gear day
Thursday-Pirate day
Friday-Cherry and Blue day
Anyways for the football game on Friday the band has to play before the game, and do a little thing on the field during halftime. This year since there really wasn't a marching band everyone in band has to do it. I think it is really stupid and pointless because we are going to play one song and the the school song and thats all. People in the community also made a huge deal about how it sucked last year because we didn't all dress the same that this year for two whole songs we get to wear the stinkin' marching band uniforms. I think it' s super stupid and the old people in the community need to get over the fact things change over time. So that is the dumbest thing about this week besides the fact that nobody in the stinkin' school ever dresses up for the dress up days. Common people it's called school spirit even if you think you look stupid, nobody cares... Sorry about all this I am kind of just venting a little about everything. Oh yeah and on Friday we have a field day so we get out of school early to go do fun field activities, and i found out today that i have stinkin' volleyball practice after that. WOW thats dumb we didn't last year but i guess we just suck this year..which is true but still it's HOMECOMING. AHHHHH anyways I feel much better after venting a little, but i should probably stop blogging before i smash my fingers through this keyboard form typing so hard.

Red Rover, Red Rover Send the Quarterback over...

Is all fair in the world today??? Well who knows...anyways last night i went to a football game because I had to play for pep-band. As the game went along I got talking with my friend about the game of football in general. We both decided that it seems to just be a huge game of red rover! Why you might ask, well because there are two lines, offense and defense and they basically just run at each other. Sports seem really funny sometimes don't they? Not only is football funny like that but basketball is kind of like monkey in the middle in someways. All you try to do is keep the ball away from the other team by passing it to your own team mates. Another example would be that Baseball and softball are sort-of like hot potato because you don't want to hold onto the ball you need to get it in to try and get your enemies out. There are probably several other examples I could come up with but I think you get the picture. Not by any means am i making fun of sports because sports are pretty much my life but I just think its funny how some things work. Life is just hilarious isn't it!?!

Homework OVERLOAD...

Hey,
So I'm new at this hole blogging thing so don't be disappointed if it stinks. Well I'm not really sure about what to write so i guess since this blogging thing is homework I'll write about school. I go to Albert Lea high school this year I'm not sure if it's just me but there has been homework overload in like every class. Plus it's only been like one week of school. Not really sure whats up with it but maybe it will be like this every year cause I'm moving up in the world. Homework really stinks if you know what i mean especially if you in 3 sports like i am. (I play volleyball, basketball, and softball) It's nearly impossible to get it all done sometimes, and really common now barely finding time for homework, then having to find time to go on the computer to write a blog twice a week this is really going to be a challenge...Rarely ever do i even go on the computer during the school year unless it's a weekend, then i might be able to slip it in somewhere. I really think teachers need to reconsider what days of the week they give out homework because it seems like they all shovel it out on Tuesdays and Thursdays...game nights! But whatever i guess I'll just have to get over it and find time for everything in life, cause it's just gonna get worse from here on. Well I've got to go finish some math homework..bye!! oh and by the way my volleyball team lost tonight but they were very close matches.
