"'ALHS's' Got Talent"

Ah talent shows. Personally I think that our high school's talent show is horrible. It seems to be the same thing every year. There are always people singing with either a guitar or a piano. What else is knew? I think some of the acts are cool and different every year. I just seems that it's a repeat and the same every year. Lately I've been quite let down by it. Of course I completely understand the people that are in it try hard. I give them credit for that. But our talent show just sucks in general. There is definitely lots of talent in ALHS it is just a huge repeat every year.

Slackers

This last weekend I was at a Show Choir Competition. Yes I am in one of the Show Choirs at our school, but the one this last weekend I just play in the band-"Combo". Lately the people in this group have been bothering me. Not because there rude to me or anything, but because they are slackers. I busted my butt at auditions trying to get in the higher group. Well that didn't happen. I got stuck in SASS again. The all girls group. It seems to me that the Cat group is made up of slackers. No one ever tries and they don't care about anything. This is mainly the guy's I'm talking about. Just because they don't have to audition to get in because we desperately need them doesn't mean they can suck. If they are wasting everyone else's time showing up, and then not caring...Quit and go home. I am so sick of this crap, and I don't even have to dance with them and deal with them. I just play my T. Sax in Combo. This group has been to two competitions this year and then we have our own competition. At every competition I hear over half the choir say; " Wow this is dumb, we need to suck so we don't make it into finals. Then we can leave early." Really guys?? If your going to be in something commit and give it 210%. There are so many other people that would die to be in this group and you are all taking up the spots. They don't even realize how mad some of the people in this group get because the slackers are weighing them down and the others really want to win and do good. Some people just don't get it, and probably never will. Sadly...

Why School?

Congrats to the Albert Lea Wrestling Team. 2nd in state...Impressive. But like we couldn't see it coming considering its happened for like the past 10 years. Anyways what I was actually going to be talking about was school. When our High School Teams go to state why do we even bother having school those days? Everyone is gone anyways, ya know supporting their team. RAH!RAH! It's especially a waste of time for those of us who do go to school because the teachers are desperately try to find things to fill time. Or they have their classes do absolutely nothing and have a study hall. If you think about it this would be good for the teachers as well cause they could go watch if they wanted. Well this is just my opinion on everything. But it seems to make sense. If Ya know what I mean.

Day Light Savings?

I've never quite understood the purpose of Day Light Savings. In my eyes it is completely pointless. If we are all going to move our clocks ahead one hour in the spring, and go insane due to loss of sleep. Then just move them back one hour in the fall. Whats the point. To move clocks back one hour just to move the back forward one hour 6 months later? Everyone goes ballistic during these times too of course. Were gonna forget AHH. Well they mainly freak out about the whole loosing an hour of sleep. Don't you love how people go crazy over one whole hour. Yeah. This time of year drives me bonkers. I have a schedule and I would rather keep it the same the whole year if I can help it. Whatever I just think this whole thing is ridiculous and shouldn't even happen. Otherwise crazy people like me go completely insane.

School-Sports-Church-Job??-Life??

Now that I have my license I need to find a job, and fast. Filling up the gas tank in our van really bites. The thing is in todays society lots of people are have trouble finding jobs. How am I suppose to? There might be one teeny tiny problem: I have no time. My parents keep bugging me to find a job, but i don't know when I would ever work. There is absolutely no free time in my schedule. I play 3 sports, am in tons of extra band and choir groups, church, and oh yeah Homework. That seems to be all I do on the weekends is homework. Like today-kid you not I did homework for 4 1/2 hours straight. I had homework in every class but band and choir. It bothers me when teachers give out homework they all do it on the same day. If I lucky i get a day with no homework at all. Then the next day-every class. And I usually have games on the nights with loads of homework. I just don't know how I would work out my schedule to get everything in. Also I would probably lose lots of sleep and I don't get that much right now as it is. Every single day except Thursday's I have to be to school by 7. On Thursday's I get to sleep in a whole half an hour. It's amazing! Not only do I not have time for a job, I don't know where to apply. I really don't want to work at a fast food place and every time I say that my mom yells at me. Which doesn't make since because whenever we go to a fast food restaurant she always says I would never work here. IT would be so annoying with all the beeping. Yeah mother get out of my face. Anyways Why does life have to be so complicated. My life is mass chaos at the moment, and this whole job thing isn't helping. It is really stressing me out hard core. Wow...Life.
