In my Journalistic Writing class we are reading a book called "Night" By: Elie Wiesel. Night is a book that was written by a man that lived through the holocaust. This book is just so unbelievably touching I can't even express it in words. I can't even imagine how it would have been to live through that. I send my heart out to those who were forced to live through these tragic times.
Isn't it weird how the German's didn't even care
Isn't it weird how it kind of just came out of nowhere
Isn’t it weird how the Jews had no idea what was going on and what might happen to them
Isn’t it weird how cruel and inconsiderate all the German officers were to all of the poor Jews
Isn’t it weird how when they got to the consideration camps they split up the families
Isn’t it weird how they killed everyone but the Strong men
Isn’t it weird how they threw children that were still alive into the crematorium
Isn’t it weird how inhumane they treated all of the people
Isn’t it weird how they were treating everyone like dogs
Isn’t it weird how they didn't care if you died
Isn’t it weird how they didn't feed them barley anything, and forced them to work without stopping all day long
Isn’t it weird how they literately beat people to death if they did MAYBE one thing wrong
Isn’t it weird how some people couldn't run anymore so they fell to the ground and got trampled to death
Isn’t it weird how some people couldn't stand any longer so they fell to the ground landing on top of people and suffocated them to death
Isn’t it weird how the Jew's didn't do anything yet they were forced to go through all of this??
Isn’t it weird how some people think
Once I read the end of the book i was basically crying. Everything was just so sad all the things they made them do and go through. Honestly I don't think I would be able to have went through all that and still be alive. So once again I say I give my heart out to those who had to live through the Holocaust.

Remembering Sad Times
This last Friday we had our fall choir concert. It was the first of the year, and for the most part i think it went well. The Concert Choir sang this song called "Requiem." This song was about the tsunami that hit in 2005 and then hurricane Katrina right after. The choir teacher had warned us about this song and how touching it was so i was prepared when I heard it. Everything in the song is just so simple, but is so touching. Also there is an ending chord for the song and then there is just this silent chord, it's just amazing how it fit the song. It was there just so you can think about everything and the song.(except at the second concert these stupid people started clapping in the middle of the silent chord and it totally ruined the WHOLE SONG-way to go...) By the first 5 words of the song I was crying. If you have never heard this song you need too, just look it up on the Internet sometime. The melody of Requiem is just so simple I love it but it totally fits the song I guess. It's just so tragic, natural disasters that happen in our world. I send my heart out to those who have lost loved ones. While I was listening to the song I didn't know what to do? I was just sitting there and I could fell the water-works coming almost instantly. Should I let them out or try to keep them out?? Well everyone around me was kinda just sitting there so when I started balling I just sat there trying to hide it cause I felt like an idiot. Well right after that song at the concert all of the choirs had to do a finale piece so I go to get lined up and my eyes were all red and my face was all splotchy from crying. I got over it and I don't regret what I did at all because the song deserved it.

The great journey to your locker
So don't you just love having to push your way through the locker bay everyday just to get to your locker. When all of a sudden you get there to find some people making out.. I mean really people-get a room. I find it really disgusting all the people that make out in between classes at our school. It bugs be SOOOOOO much. Especially when you have to literately push through like 5 of them just to get to your stinking locker. I have never had a boyfriend(technically) but I've had people ask me but i rejected them cause they were gross. Oh and this one kid was super bad and he was going to beat up my twin brother Tim because he liked me so much. What is wrong with that picture?HMM? But yeah this summer there was this boy and we weren't technically dating but we basically were. Anyways were not talking about my love life, but other peoples. I think people just need to be more considerate to those around them. I mean they don't even care. They just want to face plant each other. WOW, well thats a normal school day for ya at Albert Lea High School!...YAY!

The Final Countdown
I love it when sports teams come back and win the game in the last few seconds. I just think it's the coolest, and most exciting thing ever. Well only if it's your team. Like the football game last Wednesday night Albert Lea vs. Austin-dun,dun,dun!! The game was all tied up and in the last 3 seconds Albert Lea came in with a touchdown, and won the game! It was amazing. Or the Vikings game this afternoon vs. the Chicago Cubs yea the vikings totally could have done the same thing if they didn't throw a stinkin interception. I totally thought they would come back and win it...but did they, NO. GRRR Anyways like if a basketball team is down by like 20 points and then they score a game winning buzzer shot, and then everyone runs down screaming to the court! YAY moments like that really excite me!! I wish more stuff like that would happen, then people might get more into the game. Yeah and i hate it when people go to a football game and don't' even care what happens i mean common you need to get into the game people. Wow. Anyways yeah buzzer shots rock!
The Human Body
Don't you think it's weird how you are basically dominate on one half of your body. I mean if you are right handed you do most things with your right hand, and left, well with your left hand. Personally i think it is very weird and annoying. Like if you try to do something you can do with your dominant side of the body. Then you try to do it on the other half of the body and you are basically handicap, and it's nearly impossible to do for the most part, or you just look ridiculous trying to do it. For example i just painted my fingernails, and i could paint my left hand perfectly fine, because i was holding the brush thing in my right hand, but right when i tried to do the other hand it took about 5 times longer, was super difficult, and 90 times sloppier. i pretty much had paint all the way up my hand, haha. It was funny though! Another example would be dribbling a basketball you have your dominant hand and then you try to do it with your other hand and it's just super difficult. isn't it just weird how the human body works?

Oh Boy, Electronics
So don't you just love how like everyone in the whole universe has a phone. EXCEPT ME.:( It totally stinks because my dad has been working for a phone company for like 10 ish years. My parents have this dumb rule on how we can't get a phone until we are 16/ get our licence. Because then we will be driving places so they need to know where we are. Well today my parents let my brother and I get phones!! For those of you who don't know I have a twin brother. The thing is whenever we did get phones we would have to start paying our part of the bill. So guess what, i get to start paying a phone bill. Yay! I'm just super excited that they let us get phones. I just felt so out of the loop when I didn't have one. Oh and pretty sure we were like 2 out of maybe 15 people in the whole school who didn't have one so i felt dumb, especially cause my dad sells them. But whatever I'm good now I need to stop freakin out. Oh and I'm so sorry for those of you who don't have a phone I know how you feel, and I'm sorry if this offended anyone.
Fall is Falling all over!
Don't you just love the season fall. It is just so beautiful all over the place. With the leaves falling everywhere and it's not to hot, but not to cold. Oh and of course it totally NOT winter yet. Ya no I really hate winter it drives me insane. All of the cold weather oh, and snow... Annoying. Anyways fall just makes everything so pretty with all of the trees changing. I love it! One of the best things is when the tree is like 3 different colors, like yellow then green then scarlet. I think the trees that are a scarlet type color are the best, by far!! Fall is just so amazing it totally changes my outlook on life sometimes. Because I will be thinking wow Albert Lea is LAME and nothing good ever happens in Minnesota. But were like perfect, cause we get all 4 seasons unlike those Florian's. Everything just makes me grin from ear to ear. But fall is not always fun because you have to rake up all the leaves when there all dead and shriveled up. But you can jump in them!! Fall is just falling all over the place...YAY!

Community of Love
So the community of Albert Lea isn't is just great! Everyone is just so caring, helpful and respectful. For the most part I'm talking about the Home Makeover House! I think it is the coolest thing that someone from Small-town USA would bring adventure to Albert Lea by "winning" a house. All the stories on that show are just so touching, and they always make me cry. One of the best parts about this whole experience is the community. Everyone just came together for the Love of the DeVries family. So far I have been out to the house every day except the first day. It is just so amazing on how everything works, and all the people working. It just makes me feel all warm and cozy inside- all the love spreading! I am just so touched by all of this that has been going on in the past week. Everyone that is working must be exhausted working a real job during the day, and then coming in to work at the house from midnight to morning. All of the people are volunteers as well. Not only are there people volunteering, but there are many company's donating tons of people, things and time. The people there cheering the workers on as well, it's just so cool. If you haven't been down to see the house yet you really need to, it's amazing. Congrats Derik and the DeVries Family! I'm looking forward to seeing the final out come of the house! I will try to add some pictures to my blog if anyone is interested. Well I'm gonna go cause my family is watching Toy Story so gotta go watch it with them!! YAY!!
