Remembering Sad Times
This last Friday we had our fall choir concert. It was the first of the year, and for the most part i think it went well. The Concert Choir sang this song called "Requiem." This song was about the tsunami that hit in 2005 and then hurricane Katrina right after. The choir teacher had warned us about this song and how touching it was so i was prepared when I heard it. Everything in the song is just so simple, but is so touching. Also there is an ending chord for the song and then there is just this silent chord, it's just amazing how it fit the song. It was there just so you can think about everything and the song.(except at the second concert these stupid people started clapping in the middle of the silent chord and it totally ruined the WHOLE SONG-way to go...) By the first 5 words of the song I was crying. If you have never heard this song you need too, just look it up on the Internet sometime. The melody of Requiem is just so simple I love it but it totally fits the song I guess. It's just so tragic, natural disasters that happen in our world. I send my heart out to those who have lost loved ones. While I was listening to the song I didn't know what to do? I was just sitting there and I could fell the water-works coming almost instantly. Should I let them out or try to keep them out?? Well everyone around me was kinda just sitting there so when I started balling I just sat there trying to hide it cause I felt like an idiot. Well right after that song at the concert all of the choirs had to do a finale piece so I go to get lined up and my eyes were all red and my face was all splotchy from crying. I got over it and I don't regret what I did at all because the song deserved it.
