And So I Send My Heart Out

In my Journalistic Writing class we are reading a book called "Night" By: Elie Wiesel. Night is a book that was written by a man that lived through the holocaust. This book is just so unbelievably touching I can't even express it in words. I can't even imagine how it would have been to live through that. I send my heart out to those who were forced to live through these tragic times.

Isn't it weird how the German's didn't even care

Isn't it weird how it kind of just came out of nowhere

Isn’t it weird how the Jews had no idea what was going on and what might happen to them

Isn’t it weird how cruel and inconsiderate all the German officers were to all of the poor Jews

Isn’t it weird how when they got to the consideration camps they split up the families

Isn’t it weird how they killed everyone but the Strong men

Isn’t it weird how they threw children that were still alive into the crematorium

Isn’t it weird how inhumane they treated all of the people

Isn’t it weird how they were treating everyone like dogs

Isn’t it weird how they didn't care if you died

Isn’t it weird how they didn't feed them barley anything, and forced them to work without stopping all day long

Isn’t it weird how they literately beat people to death if they did MAYBE one thing wrong

Isn’t it weird how some people couldn't run anymore so they fell to the ground and got trampled to death

Isn’t it weird how some people couldn't stand any longer so they fell to the ground landing on top of people and suffocated them to death

Isn’t it weird how the Jew's didn't do anything yet they were forced to go through all of this??

Isn’t it weird how some people think

Once I read the end of the book i was basically crying. Everything was just so sad all the things they made them do and go through. Honestly I don't think I would be able to have went through all that and still be alive. So once again I say I give my heart out to those who had to live through the Holocaust.

I know that book was insanely touching! I was amazed on the horrible and cruel things they did to torture the Jews. You just think what kinda of person would do that to a human being...treat them like they are animals and strip them from their dignity! Just because they were a different race it gave them no right to do such horrible things. I also can't imagine going through something like that...it would be a horrifying experience..it would feel like a nightmare or bad dream but sadly it actually did happen to some people.

Another great and meaningful post, Emily. Loved the use of repetition. That was powerful stuff.
